Sedera Product Information

The Sedera Health medical cost sharing model boldly challenges the insurance status quo. Through an innovative layering of healthcare services, we enable individuals and families access to high quality healthcare that is affordable, flexible and effective.

Sedera’s members can meet the Affordable Care Act (ACA) standard separately through an employer-sponsored self-insurance arrangement that includes Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC).  This plan provides coverage for preventive services and well care visits and keeps you in compliance with the law.

In addition to sharing medical expenses, Sedera provides access to valuable Counseling, Medical Bill Negotiation, Telemedicine, Expert Second Opinion, and Personal Member Advisor services to all members.

Sedera Health’s core medical cost sharing model is supported by several additional services which enhance value and contribute to member quality of life.

Medical Cost Sharing

Members take part in a medical cost sharing model that is high quality, affordable, accessible and above all, effective. This alternative to health insurance offers lower monthly costs, reduced cost of care and compliance and credibility.

Personal Member Advisor

Advisors work with Sedera members everyday. From finding the best dentist for their children to getting the best possible price on medications, their job is to ensure each member has a wonderful experience and gets the best results possible from Sedera Health.

Telemedicine

Members are provided unlimited use of 24/7/365 board-certified and state licensed physicians available via phone or online. These doctors are able to assess the situation and when appropriate prescribe medications.

Expert Second Opinion

No matter where a member is, they can speak with the best doctors in the world via phone or video consultation. All the best services without the travel, paperwork and costs.

Medical Bill Negotiation

Sedera’s team of skilled negotiators serve as trusted advisors for members seeking assistance with medical bill clarification. Experienced team members will negotiate the out-of-pocket balances members owe on medical bills, often resulting in significant cost reductions.

Counseling

Sedera Health provides holistic healthcare, taking into account the mental, emotional and spiritual well being of members – in addition to the  physical. Because of this, members have access to licensed Christian counseling services for when you need an ear the most.

Your enrollment is not complete until you have completed the information on the Sedera application.

I understand that I am enrolling in Sedera, a community based health share program.  It is my responsibility to submit my major medical claims to Sedera and I understand that agents or affiliates make no representation as to how Sedera shall reimburse expenses.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel service at any time after 90 days from your original effective date. All notices of cancellation must be submitted in writing only. To avoid billing for unwanted services, all cancellation notices must be received no later than fifteen (15) calendar days prior to your next billing date. Upon receipt of your cancellation notice, coverage for the services/products listed will be terminated to the last day of the month of your coverage period.

Refund Policy: You may only receive a refund provided you have submitted a written notice of cancellation to our office. This notice must be received prior to your policy effective date. No refunds are permitted once policy effective date has commenced. No refunds are permitted if any claims have been submitted or filed for any service or product for which you have been enrolled.

WHETHER YOU RECEIVE ANY MONEY FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES, OR WHETHER OR NOT THIS MEMBERSHIP CONTINUES TO OPERATE, YOU AS THE MEMBER WILL ALWAYS REMAIN LIABLE FOR YOUR UNPAID MEDICAL EXPENSES AND DO NOT HAVE ANY LEGAL RIGHT TO SEEK REIMBURSEMENT FOR ANY SUCH EXPENSES FROM SEDERA OR ANY OTHER MEMBER OR COMPANY. THIS IS NOT A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT TO REIMBURSE YOU FOR THE MEDICAL EXPENSES YOU INCUR BUT IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU AND YOUR COMPANY TO ASSIST OTHER MEMBERS IN NEED, AND WHEN YOU ARE IN NEED, TO PRESENT YOUR MEDICAL BILLS TO OTHER MEMBERS AND MEMBER COMPANIES AS OUTLINED IN THESE GUIDELINES.
